Our Sure Word

Hebrews 6:11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence [j]so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.” 15 And so, having patiently waited, he obtained the promise.

For we have a sure word from God about his covenant.  The fact that He swore by Himself and can not break His own covenant is a sign for us that we have something strong and unbreakable to hold onto.

Today I encourage you to open your Bible and when you find a promise that God gives us, I pray you hang onto it with Faith, believing that as you confess what it says and believe that its true you shall have it. (Mark 11:24-25) After all this is how you were saved (born again) in the first place.  You confessed Jesus was raised from the dead and you shall be saved.  I like how Peter says this as well about the promise of the Word of God for us.  He states, 2 Peter 1:19 So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.

Where to start? John chapter 1.  John writes by the Holy Spirit, “as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of GOD, to them that believe on His name.”   This is a great and precious promise that we have today and forever.  When you come to God and believe on His name, you have the power to change and be a son or daughter of the Most High God.

Be Blessed this week and remember Jesus is Lord.
